Robert McGilligan
Robert McGilligan (1881-1903) was my Great-great-uncle. He was the son of Roger McGilligan and Jane McCahon. His life was short. He died September 9th, 1903 at Tirhugh, Swatragh, County Londonderry aged only 22 years. Cause of death was recorded as bone disease. He was buried September 11th, 1903 at Killelagh Parish Church.
Little is known of his life. Robert is recorded in the 1901 Census of Ireland. He was living in Belfast as a scholar boarding with Mary Jane Galloway on 46 Annalee Street.

Caldwell Walker, 1884-
Son of Samuel and Adesa (nee Caldwell) Walker. Caldwell was born 31 March 31st, 1884 at Tamnaherin, Eglinton, County Londonderry. According to the 1901 Census, he was living with his elder brother George on the Old Strabane Road and training to become a draper. He later moved to Randalstown and worked as a draper. He married Agnes Hanna on September 13th, 1910 in the Cunningham Memorial Presbyterian Church at Cullybackey, County Antrim. I have confirmed two children born to Caldwell and Agnes. Samuel George Crawford McKee Walker was born July 23rd, 1912 in Randalstown, County Antrim. Doughlas Haigh Glenn Walker was born December 23rd, 1914 in Randalstown, County Antrim.

She m on 14 Aug 1945 to Caldwell Creg Walker at Bellaghy Presbyterian Church. ‘Cal’ was a salesman who was living on New Street in Randalstown when he married. He was the son of Caldwell Walker, a draper. MARTHA was a nurse. They had: 1) Herbert, who m Margaret Adams and resided in Bellaghy. Herbert was a laboratory assistant in a hospital. Herbert and Margaret had Richard Walker; and 2) Allen, a farmer in Randalstown. Allen m 12 Jun 1990 to Elizabeth Bowes in the Kilbride Presbyterian Church.
Roger McGilligan
Roger McGilligan (1835-1916) is my Great-great-grandfather. His occupation in the 1901 census and on his death certificate was listed as a farmer. The 1901 census records his wife, Jane, and two children living at home. John McGilligan, their first son, is my Great-grandfather. Roger died May 4, 1916 at Tirhugh, Magherafelt, County Londonderry. He was buried on May 6, 1916 at Killelagh Parish Church, Swatragh, County Londonderry.
