Robert McGilligan

Robert McGilligan (1881-1903) was my Great-great-uncle. He was the son of Roger McGilligan and Jane McCahon. His life was short. He died September 9th, 1903 at Tirhugh, Swatragh, County Londonderry aged only 22 years. Cause of death was recorded as bone disease. He was buried September 11th, 1903 at Killelagh Parish Church.

Little is known of his life. Robert is recorded in the 1901 Census of Ireland. He was living in Belfast as a scholar boarding with Mary Jane Galloway on 46 Annalee Street.
