Thomas Elder & Mary Crossan, 1901

Thomas Elder married Mary Crossan on 22 Jun 1901 at the Long Tower Roman Catholic Chapel, Co. Derry, Ireland. Thomas is recorded as a full age widower from Lecky Road, Derry (Occupation: Painter). His father, William Elder’s occupation is recorded as labourer. Mary is recorded as a full age spinister from Derry (Occupation: Factory worker). Her father, Neal Crossan’s occupation is recorded as a labourer.

4th November 2007: A comment by “Anne Marie” confirms this to be a second marriage for Thomas Elder. He was first married to Sarah-Jane Doherty, who died during child birth of a daughter with the same name. Thomas Elder and Mary Crossan moved to Scotland and had two sons, William and Paddy Elder. Thomas Elder died in Dumbartonshire, Scotland on 12 Sep 1955 aged 88 years.
